We like cuttlefish because they stay still for us - not this feller. Note the blurred background. First day out with my Sony Cyber DSCP150 and he was off with me after him. Internal flash with flash diffuser. Taken at Middlehead, Sydney.

Taken at Shelly Beach, North Sydney with a Canon S1IS, internal flash. Poor visibility around 3m. This photo is one of my first scuba diving; up until now I was free diving. The funny thing about this cuttlefish fish was that my partner didn't see it when it was in camo. She almost tackled it.

Black Coral nursing a cluster of squid eggs at Julian Rocks, Byron Bay. Unfortunately, these little critters didn't live long enough to become 'calamari rings'.

This Leopard Shark was on a mission this day. Just moments after he collided with my camera housing, he decided to take on a diver! I guess he was either very inquisitive ... or just very friendly. Infact, he played with us for a good 15 minutes or so, swimming over us, around us and in-between our legs. Julian Rocks, Byron Bay

Some try close up photography ... others try macro photography... and then comes a Leopard Shark who wants to take you 'head on'. This is the culprit a split second before colliding into my Ikelite housing - Good onya. Taken at Julian Rocks, Byron Bay, NSW

Taken on the reef just off the Henry Bolton Tug, Eden, NSW. 06-03-05. We've seen so many of these stars lately, they're great.

Taken on one of the Eden Tugs 06-03-05, NSW. Sometimes you can be in the right place at the right time, no setting up of this shot just pure luck.

The full moon and awesome viz hardly made this a night dive. It was great sneaking up on the fishes, though this little guy crept up on me at Fly Point, Port Stephens, NSW.

Taken on the one of the Eden tugs, NSW. Such a little bright nudi on a big dark wreck.
