Not the best shot I've ever taken but we've never seen a Weedie with whiskers before. We saw this guy at Bare Island, NSW late last year. I've had a bit of a search and can't find much about whiskers on weedies, can anyone help me?

Taken with Canon PowerShot A80 at Bare Island, NSW On the 27th Dec 2004. We had this little fellow pointed out to us by another diver. Instead of searching the net for 3 days to identify, all I had to do was watch the DVD I got for Xmas…"Beneath the Southern Seas"….Thanks Akos. Photocomp January '05 - Open

We thought we were really clever to keep finding seahorses every dive here….Until we were told by locals that where we find them is commonly known as "Seahorse Rock". Taken with Canon PowerShot A80 at Bare Island, NSW. Photocomp January '05 - Open

Taken with Canon PowerShot A80 at Kurnell, NSW on the 26th Jan 2005. Yes, it's the same frog fish but I love it. These guys are so ugly that they're cute. As usual Kurnell supplies me with something new to me. Photocomp January '05 - Open

The big-bellied seahorse is one of two in Sydney, very territorial, one can see the same specimens in the same spot for days or even months on end!!! Taken at Kurnell National Park, using a Nikonos III, 35mm lens and 1:2 extension tube, single strobe. Photocomp January'05 - Open

These tiny tropical shrimps (Periclemenes soror) are found along the NSW coast in summer on the underside of seastars, always changing their colors to suit the coloring of their hosts. Pinkish/purple stars have shrimps as per picture, red seastars have red shrimps etc. Equipment: Nikonos III, 35mm lens with 2:1 (double life-size magnification - not 1:2) extension tube, single flash.
