South West Rocks is where the Macleay River's journey ends as it meets the sea. This beautiful area has clear aquamarine waters, tiny coves, a peaceful bay and is surrounded by lush green forest, fringed by light-coloured sands.

On a recent trip to South West Rocks, NSW I had the chance to dive Fish Rock Cave. Swam through the cave and met 3 beautiful Grey Nurses crusing the shallow (14m) end. This one had a hook stuck in its mouth. I used an Olympus mju410. Photocomp March '05 - Novice

Visibility was approximately 15 meters. The shot was taken using a Canon Powershot S40 digital camera viewed through a 16mm Sea & Sea lens connected to Canon housing. I took this image off the deep end off Fishrock, NSW in 34 meters of water and this was the only one I liked from an entire roll of Velvia.
